As per the information I have, there are no management quota seats available for direct second year engineering lateral entry admissions of diploma students and institutes are not permitted to do the same for direct second year engineering admission. All the seats will be filled by CAP process.

Mechanical engineering is an evergreen branch. You will be going to get better career option in the government and private organisation after completion of this degree.

If you are in Mumbai, try with Don Bosco or for Agnels. Moreover, if possible try for Manipal Institute of Technology (NRI quota) where your family can fund you. Lovely Professional University and Amity are also good options.
