Yes, it's a good college but not the best.
If you don't have any other option then you may go for this college, as the department of mechanical engineering is good for future.

Excellent grades are must if you want to get into a good university. So, focus on your 12th. You must take SAT, TOEFL or IELTS to be considered for admissions. Though SAT is not required by Canadian universities, you may choose to take the test. Your SOP and LORs will also be evaluated for admissions. Ideally the SAT must be taken during 11th or 12th, so that you can submit your applications on time. Remember, you must start the application process a year ahead of the intakes. You should visit university websites for the average admission requirements and prepare accordingly.

Are you going to change your branch after completing Diploma. I think you have no interest in mechanical field. It's not mandatory to jump into the same industry. There are wide options available for them. You can analyse your personality and can move into some different career path according to your wish. These some branches B.Tech in Electronics or Electrical (ECE or EEE) - if you love electronics.
