If you have a knack for science and math, either mechanical engineering or computer programming could satisfy you on the job. But beyond their technical bent, the two are quite different. I am sorry but i can't tell anything without the boards marks. The final rank is calculated on the basis of both so the board marks are quite crucial as well. But if i assume your board score in relation with the mains then you stand a low chance of securing admission in NSIT until you have an ST category or something of that sort.

Diploma doesnt provide grt placement and is neither recommended and accepted by companies. Full time Engineering degree is always good and advisable as job opportunities do rise.
