The campus placements for mechanical engineering is very good in terms of relevance of the industry that you are placed in. As per 2015 ranking Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology is better in comparison to CU for BTech Mechanical Engineering.

you can easily get job after diploma or you can take admission for further studies like BE or BTech.

Its pretty difficult to get a job initially without work experience, especially in a city like Bangalore. My suggestion is, you try to search for an entry level Engineering jobs also do utilize if you have any reference. Post your profile in some reputed job finding websites like monster,naukri etc and then attend few interviews. Work in start up companies for 2-3 years and then with that work experience you can apply for high profile companies.
