The campus placements for mechanical engineering is very good in terms of relevance of the industry that you are placed in. The maximum salary limit offered hovers around 6.2 lacs p.a.(offered by Cacterpillar). Other companies that have recruited engineers this year include L&T(Heavy Engineering), L&T (Construction), Hindalco, Sunmar, Gamesa, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai Automobiles, Adani power etc. The average salary offered by these companies is around 4.5 lacs p.a.

As per 2015 ranking Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology is better in comparison to CU for BTech Mechanical Engineering.

Its pretty difficult to get a job initially without work experience, especially in a city like Bangalore. My suggestion is, you try to search for an entry level Engineering jobs also do utilize if you have any reference. Post your profile in some reputed job finding websites like monster,naukri etc and then attend few interviews. Work in start up companies for 2-3 years and then with that work experience you can apply for high profile companies.
