You should try to get job. Other than specialisation and further studies, job is the only way. Try to score high. Make a good CV and upload it in several job sites. U will surely get interview calls if your score and cv is good. U can also appear indian engineering service and keep a sharp look on job vacancies published by gov. allied sector and public sectors. Really sorry to say that, but your score is too poor to expect an admission in Jamia Millia Islamia. Well, the list will be solely based on merit so might be you get to waiting list. The mechanical department has too much competition here so you might not be able to make it. Try some other colleges and if you really want to join JMI then try next year. Best Wishes.

38 is too low a score to secure a seat. As per your score your expected JEE rank will be more than 75000.
The above mentioned ranks are displayed only the basis of a candidate's score in JEE Main 2016. There can be variation in ranks when the same is calculated on the basis of normalization of scores, taking in account Class XII Board results along with reservation (SC / ST / OBC etc.) and JEE exam scores.

visa success rate in Canada will be more. You are clear if you do 2 yr study you will be allowed to stay back for 3 yrs. Iif you take one year course you will be allowed to stay back for 8 months. then you can apply for PR
in USA even if they reject your visa they will not tell why?. no clear policy to stay back
