Hello Rush,
There are plenty of colleges, in fact almost all the colleges offering this branch for regular course also offer lateral admission in this course. However, a word of caution. Lateral admissions are invariably restricted to the students of the home state only for government colleges or government aided colleges. Unaided colleges of course take students from all over India basis and also, deemed universities also take students from all India basis. So no need to worry. No, you need to appear for GATE examination. GATE is the only examination in India which provides admissions to any colleges for MS and M.Tech programs.

There are 2 private universities offering this course. One is Manipal and the other is SRM. SRM's faculty members are okay, labs are good. For placements, Honda came and recruited 2 students with 8.3 LPA package.

Hi, chances are decent enough. Take GRE particularly for Ravensburg-Weingarten University. Highly recommended. Rest will depend on your LOR and SOP as well. Apply early on.
