Both Indian citizens and NRIs are eligible for it; it varies for both of them.
Indian Citizens: 35% of the seats are open, with 85% reserved for Telangana locals and 15% open to candidates from all over India.
NRIs: 15% of the seats are specifically reserved for NRI candidates.

Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences /MBBS /BDS /BVSc /Allied Health Science /BE or BTech (Biotechnology) or any other professional graduate course with at least one subject of Biological Sciences from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% aggregate or equivalent are eligible to apply for MSc at Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine.

Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine students can apply for Merit Scholarships offered by MAHE. Students pursuing a course from the institute can get the scholarship provided they fulfill the specified criteria. Candidates who have completed their UG degree with at least 70% aggregate from a recognised university can apply for the scholarship for MSc course at MIRM. Selected students get a 20% waiver in the programme fee.

To be eligible for a BVoc programme at VMM College, candidates must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream from a recognised board. Admission is based on the scores of the entrance exams. BVoc is offered across two specialisations, namely Medical Laboratory Technology and Operation Theatre Technology. The selection criteria for the MBBS course at K.S. Hedge Medical Academy is completely based on the scores acheived by the candidates in the NEET UG exam. Firstly, candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria first, that states applicants must complete their Class 12 from the PCB/Biotechnology stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Then on the basis of scores achieved in NEET UG, the college releases the cutoffs.
