NEET 2024 was conducted on May 5, 2024. NTA announced the exam date on September 19, approximately eight months in advance. NTA has decided the exam date after much deliberation and assessing situations such as Board exam schedule, other exams, etc. Over the past few years, NEET exam date was delayed owing to the pandemic situation, which affected the overall academic calendar. To bring back normalcy, NTA conducted NEET UG 2024 in May, similar to the pre-pandemic era after much brainstorming and assessing other entrance exam dates. Howrver, NEET 2024 will be reconducted on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 candidates who were given grace marks.

The last date to submit the NEET 2023 application form was April 6, 9:00 PM. Based on multiple student representations, NTA reopened application process on April 12 evening till April 15, 11.30 PM and the application fee had to be paid by 11.59 PM. The application window was briefly opened on April 11, the stipulated date, but was deactivated soon after due to technical glitch. Over 250 students had sent letter to NTA requesting for reopening the NEET 2023 application process on and after April 6. The NEET 2023 application form was originally released on March 6 late evening, after over a week-long speculation. NTA released the NEET application form again on April 12, as a response to a large number of student requests who could not complete the application process due to technical and server snags. Although the NEET application window was scheduled to open on April 11, due to technical glitches, the registration link was activated on April 12 evening.
