The NEET counseling procedure is a process of allocating seats in medical colleges by respective authorities on the basis of the rank and college preference of students. This NEET (2022) counseling procedure is done by two authorities: (a) The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is counseling for 15% of the All India Quota seats. (b) The state's counseling authorities for 85% of the state quota seats

The students will need to complete the MCC NEET registration process on the official website of MCC. To register:
Go to the MCC website, then click on the UG Counseling tab, which will display a registration link. Then, enter the required information and upload all required documents. The registration will include selecting preferences, seat locking, and paying fees. Following it, round one allocation will be done based on ranks, and candidates will be required to report to designated colleges. Later, the net vacant seats for round two are published, and registered candidates have to make new choices for round two seat allocation. This same process is conducted by different states for seats under the 85% state quota.
