A reputed institution with good faculty and alumni profile and a merit seat will enhance your affordability. The current trend is that student with good ranks get admitted to fund starved and lacking even in essential facility government medical colleges, while private medical colleges with good financial status and excellent facilities starve for good quality students. AIIMS exam has a bit higher level than NEET. Assertion- reason type questions are far more common in AIIMS than NEET. In addition to that, there is also a small component of general knowledge. This, added with lesser seats, leads to higher competition.
