There is a provision for the open students to avail of admissions into AIIMS provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria includes the following with respect to the AIIMS admission:

Educational Qualification: Students should pass their 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the core subjects. The open board examinations (e.g. NIOS) should be recognised by the Ministry of Education in India.

Minimum Marks :- Students in the General category must secure at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in the 12th exam. The aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) should meet the required cutoff.

Age Limit: The candidate has attained the age of 17 years on or before the 31st December of the admission year.

Entrance Exam: AIIMS will conduct an AIIMS MBBS entrance examination for admission into the institute. At present, AIIMS is part of the NEET-UG process, so NEET scores are now accepted for admission.

Thus, if eligibility requirements are fulfilled, one can apply to AIIMS through the NEET UG entrance exam regardless of whether one has studied in open schooling setup.

Here is the list of all the various scholarship programs which are provided by the AIIMS Jodhpur for the Under Graduate courses. For the deserving NEET UG students, the institute offer merit based scholarship for the students who have excellent ranks. Candidates receiving the ranks 1-100 are to receive INR 10,000 per month and candidates that are receiving the ranks 101-500 are to receive INR 5,000 per month. Also, some free seats to students from economically weaker background are also provided where approximately 25 percent of the student population is covered by some form of financial aid. The institute has scholarship programs of worth INR 1.5 crores per annum for the deserving candidates.

Candidates with a Bachelor of Science degree at AIIMS Jodhpur will cost up to INR 800000 per annum approximately. The maxima package provided to the Bachelor of Science students is up to INR 12.00 Lacs per annum. The median package offered to the students that have done Bachelors in Science in Nursing is about 7.20 Lakhs per annum and for the students who have done Bachelors of Science honors the median package comes to about 6.50 Lakhs per annum. High ranking employers comprise of hospitals, healthcare facilities, and research institutions. The employment percentage for the students of Bachelor of Science at AIIMS Jodhpur is 85 - 90%.
