Yes! It is important to pass the NEET exam in India to study MBBS Abroad. Note: As per the National Medical Commission (NMC), NEET is mandatory for Indian students who wish to study MBBS abroad. It is mandatory, to be eligible to study medicine overseas and register as a doctor in India later on.

Both PhD in Medicine degree holders and MBBS graduates are considered "doctors," but their roles and expertise differ significantly.

An MBBS graduate is a medical doctor who has completed training in clinical medicine and is licensed to diagnose and treat patients. They are trained to provide direct medical care, conduct surgeries, and prescribe medications.

A PhD in Medicine holder, on the other hand, is a doctor in a specific field of research and academic inquiry. PhD in Medicine graduates contribute to advancing knowledge through research and are experts in their specialised area but do not provide clinical care.

Yes, you can pursue a PhD in Medicine without taking the NEET. NEET is specifically required for undergraduate medical courses like MBBS and BDS, and it is not a prerequisite for PhD programs.

For a PhD in Medicine, you typically need to meet the eligibility requirements set by the specific institution or program, which often includes having a relevant postgraduate degree, research experience, or meeting certain academic criteria.

PhD in Medicine and MBBS serve different purposes and are not directly comparable, as they cater to different career paths.

An MBBS is a medical degree focused on clinical practice, allowing graduates to become doctors and provide patient care. On the other hand, a PhD in Medicine is centred around research and academic inquiry, often leading to roles in medical research, teaching, or pharmaceutical development.

While an MBBS enables direct interaction with patients and clinical problem-solving, a PhD opens doors to advancing medical knowledge, developing new treatments, and contributing to innovations in healthcare.

No, you cannot directly pursue a PhD in Medicine after completing your MBBS, as it requires candidates to have a PG degree (MD/MS) or a Master's degree in a relevant field.

MBBS is considered a professional undergraduate degree, and a higher level of specialisation is typically needed to meet the eligibility criteria for research-based doctoral programs.

However, you can explore integrated MD-PhD programs or gain relevant qualifications to become eligible for a PhD in Medicine in the future.
