Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 12271 and closing rank was 14122. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 18693 and 18693. Admission to B.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Presently in India, no professional course is allowed to be offered by way of correspondence course. hence you can not do metallurgical engineering from any open university.

Being LPU alumni, I would share the eligibility of the course. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU makes perfect sense for lateral entry as it ensures the following programme outcomes:

NIT Raipur is worth. It is the best college for placements, and it is suitable for hardworking students.
Placements: Metallurgical and materials engineering is a very good branch. We get a lot of free time as the subject is mostly practical. In GATE 2020, our college ranked 41 from the metallurgical department.
