Applicants for admission to MPT programme must have passed this university's BPT degree examination as well as any examination from another university that this university's administration has recognised as being comparable. Before applying for admission to any affiliated institution, candidates who have passed the BPT examinations from somewhere other than "The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University" - except Annamalai University - must obtain an eligibility certificate from this university by sending the required fees with their application.

Candidates must complete BPT from any recognised college of Physiotherapy to apply for MPT. Candidates should also have completed 6 months internship at or before the time of counselling for MPT programme.

Aspirants should also be registered or must have applied for registration with the Haryana State Council for Physiotherapy at the time of counselling (Documentary proof regarding the same has to be produced at the time of counselling).

Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences admissions to MPT programme is based on Common Entrance Test conducted by the university. CET is conducted for a duration of three hours. The entrance exam consists of one paper. The paper include objective questions in English language. Once the results are out, candidates are selected for MPT admission. Aspirants need to participate in counselling for document verification and seat allotment.
