There is no age limit specified by the university for admission. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, aspirants must have qualified CLAT.

NALSAR University of Law offers mean-based scholarship to students with family income as defined by the university. Below is the criteria for Mean-based Scholarships at NALSAR:
Scholarship Amount = (Base Points of the respective annual family income bracket/100) x Tuition Fee
- Candidate having Up to 3,00,000 annual family income will get 100 base points
- Candidate having 3,00,001 to 4,00,000 annual family income will get 85 base points
- Candidate having 4,00,001 to 5,00,000 annual family income will get 60 base points

NALSAR University of Law admissions opens with the online application portal. The applications for MBA usually begin in October and goes on till February.
For BBA, the applications open online usually in the first week of January. The application window closed by May.
The applications for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM opens with CLAT registration. The application window for CLAT 2025 has been opened. The CLAT Exam 2026 is expected to be held on December 14, 2025. However, the CLAT 2026 Exam Date has not been announced yet.

NALSAR University of Law considers entrance exam scores for admission to most of the courses. CLAT is accepted for admission to popular courses of NALSAR-BA LLB (Hons) and LLM. Common Law Admission Test, known as CLAT, is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). CLAT is an offline exam and include sections on English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. Besides, the university accepts IPMAT, JIPMAT, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses.

The average package offered during TAPMI Manipal placements 2024 across all specialisations ranged between INR 12.03 LPA and INR 13.84 LPA. The college recorded 100% placements. On the other hand in NALSAR Hyderabad, the median package offered to UG 5 year course and PG 1 year course during 2023 placements were INR 16 LPA and INR 7 LPA, respectively. NALSAR is better than NLU Assam. Students get more amenities, better faculty, wonderful infrastructure at NALSAR. NLU Assam also provides good services and facilities to students but they do not provide wide comprehensive curriculum to students. Students also get limited knowledge. It is better to choose NALSAR.

The average package for students who study BA LLB at NLU Hyderabad stands between 14-16 LPA. Students can choose from various firms and consulting companies. The recruitement process is handled by the official placement and training cell. The BALLB students perform well and gain skills during their internship period.

Students who wish to seek admission to MBA course at NLU Hyderabad must have appeared for CAT or NMET PG. Students who have scored above 70 percentile in CAT can appear directly for Group Discussion and interview. Students need to clear NMET PG who have not appeared for CAT. Students must score above 85 percent in NMET to get selected.
