No, admission to NALSAR University of Law admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes cannot be done without CLAT scores. The admission criteria is strictly entrance based. Aspiring lawyers in India must successfully complete the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) administered by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to obtain a 'Certificate of Practice', which is mandatory for practicing law in the country.

Yes, caution deposit is one of the fee components of NALSAR Hyderabad fee. The one-time refundable fee for LLM is INR 20,000. LLM is a one-year course offered by NALSAR. The total fee of LLM also includes other fee components such as exam fee, tuition fee, hostel fee, etc. The total fee for LLM is INR 1.87 lakh.

Hostel is one of the fee components of NALSAR. The hostel fee for NALSAR BA LLB (Hons) is INR 2.95 lakh. The fee might include components other hostel fee. The hostel fee for NALSAR is calculated based on first-year and the actual amount may vary. Besides, the fee also includes other components such as caution deposit, tuition fee, etc.

NALSAR Hyderabad follows a fee refund policy for students who exits or fails to pay the fee. Below are the conditions for fee refund:

  • In case an aspirant exits or fails to pay fee due to NALSAR within the prescribed date, or is found ineligible upon document verification are refunded an amount of INR 20,000 as confirmation fee and INR 5,000 of counselling registration fee. 
  • In respect of the candidate who does not turn-up for the interview/ on the date notified by the university for document verification, 10% of the tuition fee is retained by the university and the balance amount

There are various career opportunities in the government sector for NALSAR LLM graduates. The PG degree holders can find jobs of Public Prosecutor, Legal Associate, and Civil Judge in various Government Departments. However, selection in a job role depends majorly on the skill set of the candidate and the requirements of the department/employer. The selection criteria can vary from one department to another.
