Wt of liquid = 135 – 40 = 95 gm

Volume of liquid =  w t . d e n s i t y = 9 5 0 . 9 5 = 1 0 0 m l

Hence volume of vessel = 100 ml = 0.1 lit from ideal gas equation,

M = d R T P = 0 . 5 0 . 1 * 0 . 0 8 2 1 * 2 5 0 0 . 8 2

M = 1 2 5 g / m o l

Moles of N2O = 2 . 2 4 4 = 1 2 0

Δ H = n C p Δ T = 1 2 0 * 1 0 0 ( 4 0 ) = 2 0 0 J

Δ U = q p + w

w = P e x t . Δ V

w = 1 ( 1 6 7 . 7 5 2 1 7 . 1 ) 1 0 0 0 * 1 0 1 . 3 J = + 5 J

Δ U = 2 0 0 + 5 = 1 9 5 J
