There is no way you can become a certified neurologist without pursuing an MBBS. Neurology is considered as the most complex branch of medicine. It requires several years of study. To become a Neurologist you must first become a medical doctor.
Aspiring Neurologists, after completing their 10+2 with biology, chemistry and physics, must appear for the competitive entrance exam for MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). This is a 5 years course which includes a one-year internship period as well. Then go for MD or MS or DNB in general medicine. After that to go for specialisation in the field i.e for PG programs in Neurology one should attend another entrance exam in order to get admissions to the PG program.
Courses offered with eligibility
DM in Neurology
(i) MBBS: The duration of the course will be for a period of five years.
(ii) MD/DNB in Internal (General) Medicine or Pediatrics: The duration of
the course will be for a period of three years.
M.Ch. in Neurosurgery
(i) MBBS: The duration of the course will be for a period of five years.
(ii) MS/DNB in General Surgery: The duration of the course will be for a
period of three years.
Duration of D.M./M.Ch. courses: 3 years (except Neurosurgery 6 year course directly after MBBS)

Technically and practically, there is none. Neuroscientists conduct research on patients and on laboratory animals including rats and mice. Neurologists, on the other hand, are practicing physicians who diagnose and treat neurological diseases in humans.

They may also order brain electrical activity studies such as an electroencephalogram (EEG) for diagnosis of disorders such as epilepsy, for example.Neuroscience describes the scientific study of the mechanics of the central nervous system such as its structure, function, genetics and physiology as well as how this can be applied to understand diseases of the nervous system.Neurology is a specialized area of medicine that concerns disorders and diseases of the nervous system ranging from Alzheimer's disease through to infection and personality disorders. Neurology involves diagnosing and treating conditions of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous systems.

After your undergraduate degree, you need more advanced training before you can consider yourself a neuroscientist. There are a number of neuroscience careers, and what you hope to do dictates the type of degree you need. If you want to work with brain injury patients, head to a medical school. If you want to find new medicines or figure out, why Alzheimer affects certain people? You need get your Ph.D. and become a researcher. You can become anything from a professor at a university to a researcher for the National Institute of Health. Select a school based on what their labs and Professors are focusing on. Working with those already in your preferred area of study will not only help you make a network but also get you the hands-on research experience which you will need to get hired. It offers Ph.D and M.Sc in neuroscience.
