NIFT is not a very good college, it is just a government college with some basic facilities. If you are getting any better NIT than it then go for it. Else NIFT is better than private colleges.

Hi Aathira,
No, there is no such scheme for fee at NIFT for SC category students, but you can get post matric scholarship from state government through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) in schedule caste category. You can apply for the same, after taking admission.
Best of luck.

NIFT entrance exam pattern is three-tiered in its format for B.Des and M.Des course admissions. As part of the NIFT entrance exam 2019, candidates need to first appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) which is followed by a General Ability Test (GAT). The final admission round for BDes course is a Situation Test and that for MDes is GD/PI round. On the other hand, for BFTech course admissions candidates need to appear for GAT only whereas for MFTech and MFM programmes candidates need to appear for GAT and GD/PI admission round.

Diploma courses in NIFT range from 3moths-1year and they hold good value. The campus placements that NIFT has to offer are tremendous. The college is well linked to the industry, through internships and jobs you can make contacts that will allow you to establish yourself in your field of expertise. Best of luck.
