For NIFT Master's degree programme, you need to have a Bachelor's degree recognised by a valid university in India. You can apply for a Master's degree with BCA that will be beneficial rather than doing a double graduation. However, the competition is intense and hence it is advised to prepare for the same before taking the exam.

NIFT has two levels of entrance exam. The first level is the CAT & GAT (creative and general ability test) this essentially checks your English, maths, analytical, design and sketching skills. Once you qualify this you are eligible for the situation text that comprises of 3D model making. On the basis of this, you are allowed a rank on which your centre and course is decided.

There is no minimum age restriction. However, there is maximum age which 23 in case of general category. NIFT is the national level exam for fashion designing course admission in government college of fashion design like NIFT DELHI, NIFT BOMBAY, etc. You have to qualify with very good marks as well as sufficient for getting admission in these colleges. After you qualify this exam you nay get any NIFT like Delhi, Bombay etc.

It has been already conducted and now the second round that is situation test will be conducted soon. For this second round the registration are open, for only those who successfully qualified the first round. So you can give it next year. It is very good exam by which you can easily get the admission in reputed college for fashion design like NIFT Delhi, Bombay, etc.

National Institute of Fashion Technology has notified the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2018 on October 20, 2017. Aspirants, who will fulfil the specified age and educational requirements will be considered eligible. Only eligible students can fill NIFT 2018 application form, which is available from October 20, 2017. NIFT 2018 eligibility criteria mention academic qualifications, age limit as well as other important aspects of admissions to the undergraduate programmes.
