National Institute of Fashion Technology Exam is conducted by the NIFT. This is a renowned institute which is providing a broad range of fashion technology courses in India.
The examination includes both written test (General Ability Test, Creative Ability Test and Managerial Ability Test) and personality test followed by group discussion and interview.
Thorough preparation is needed for exam. Online guides as well as paper back guides can help the students for getting an idea about the questions. Besides this they can also seek help from their friends. Time management is another important thing that students need to focus on.

The eligibility for NIFT is mentioned below:
An Arts student can apply for NIFT but for the Apparel Production Course. You need to have Physics, Chemistry and Math as compulsory subjects in 12th.

Hi Anchal,
Yes, there is a lot of difference in the syllabus as well as the courses.
Nift is for fashion designing and for other related fields purpose, Nata is solely for architecture.
For NIFT
You study current affairs, English, general maths and drawing abilities which includes designing poster or logo. Something which measures your designing aspects
There are 2 papers, one drawing paper another general ability test.
For NATA
You study architectural awareness, general maths (hardly 2-3 questions are expected), synonyms and antonyms and visualization. The drawing paper includes view, ant's eye view etc. Something which measures your skills

Hiral, I am not sure which course you are looking at. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. In order to pursue B.Fashion Technology, the eligibility is as follows:
Academic Eligibility: All candidates must satisfy the required academic qualifications. In case Degree/certificate has been obtained from some University /Board of any other country then an equivalence certificate must be obtained from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi (website: www.aiuweb.org) prior to admission.
