The overall cost to be incurred by the board of NIOS for Class 12th, from admission to exams, is:
Admission Fee: Rs 2,600 for general category students (Rs 2,150 for female/third gender and Rs 1,690 for SC/ST/ex-servicemen/differently-abled). It covers five subjects.
Supplementary Subject Fee: Rs 940 per subject.
Exam Fee: Rs 300 for every theory subject and Rs 150 for every practical subject.
Processing Fee: Rs 50.
For five practical-less subjects, the fee would be around INR 4,150. The fee is different for extra subjects or practicals. The payments are made online via the NIOS website.

For the NIOS on-demand exam June 2024, the syllabus remains largely unchanged, with some exceptions. Senior secondary students will follow the new syllabus, except for Common Core Curriculum subjects.
