Yes, USA accepts higher education students coming from NIOS. In fact NIOS is recognised by Ministry of Education, Government of India and Certificates issued to the examinees are also equivalent and comparable to others like those of CBSE and ICSE. Universities and colleges in the USA generally accept NIOS qualifications for undergraduate admissions, subject to other admission requirements, including standardized test scores, such as SAT/ACT, and English proficiency. NIOS students are encouraged to verify the specific requirements of each university since some institutions may have special policies on foreign qualifications.

Candidates applying to undergraduate programs like B.Sc. or BBA at St. Xavier's University in Kolkata normally need to have taken mathematics in class 12. However, mathematics might not be required for degrees in the arts or humanities (such as B.A. courses). The particular programme you are looking for will determine your eligibility because you are studying under NIOS, which is regarded as a recognised board. To find out if a lack of mathematics in classes 11 and 12 would impact your eligibility, it is recommended that you visit the admissions office directly or review the prerequisites for your selected course on their official webs
