Yes, NIT Patna provides hostel facilities to their students. There are seperate hostels for girls and boys in seperate builidings. There are two hostel affiliated to girls and there are 3 hostels for boys. The hostel fees for one year is around 55K nut it is quiet flexible with room conistions and facilities offered. Hostels has washrooms attached with the rooms and two common washrooms on one floor. The facilities provided by hostel are wi-fi, air conditioned room, Water coolers, etc. For, maintaining the decorum of the hostel seperate wardens are their. The mess food offered by hostel is also very tasty.

According to the NIRF Report 2023, NIT Agartala has been ranked 91 for the Engineering category whereas NIT Patna has been ranked 56. Similarly, as per the latest statistics of placement data, the average package offered during the NIT Agartala placement 2022 is INR 7 LPA whereas during the NIT Patna placement 2022, the average package offered was INR 14 LPA.

NIT Patna reserve certain seats from the total seat count for reserved category candidates. The admission eligibility criteria is governed by the MHRD rules (based on grade score). The institute has seat reservations for SC/ST/PH candidates. There are 15% seat reservations for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 3% for PH category candidates. The seat allotment process shall be carried out as per the reservation policy.

From the third semester, the course includes specialisation related subjects. Hence, NIT Patna integrated MSc (BSc + MSc) Physics curriculum include subjects around Physics in the second year of the course. The theory and lab subjects included in the third semester syllabus of the course are:

NIT Patna admit candidates to the BSc-MSc integrated courses based on merit in the JEE Main exam. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the entrance exam through NTA official website. The institute may release its separate application form as well for the course admission. Further, after conclusion of the application process, a merit/selection list is released based on which the seat allotment is done. Candidates following the seat allotment can pay the course fee for admission confirmation.
