NITs are good. IISERs are even better (you can stay & play in the same institution all the way to your doctorate completion). The B.Tech biotechnology degree is overrated and is merely a halfway credential. All biotechnology courses are a mish-must. Invest deeply in basic sciences. You can swim more easily in the applied biotech jobs or internships or in entrepreneurship.

I being a DA student and knowing about my friends in NITs would tell you to prefer DA over NITs because you have given a choice between computer or circuits based branches in your future which makes me guess that you are not sure between the two and when you join DA, the course is structured in a way that we have core courses based on Communication technology and coding and electronics all in one subject. You can choose the branch you want to do in your future based on your total experience. NITs don't have such a choice of course.
Hope this helps.

No, the chances is too low to get the admissions in NIT in your state, but you can definitely get admission in good colleges in your state. Best of luck for your future, and if you have any query feel free to ask.

It totally depends on you and your choice of course and your interest in a particular field. If you are into coding and developing, DA is the choice to go because the coding culture is raved at DA. I do not know about the other colleges but I do know as a matter of fact that the course options that you have given for the other colleges, all of them come under ICT in DA. You can choose, electronics, communication theory or coding or computing when you take ICT. Hope this helps.

No, there is no chance of getting NIT, if you belong to general category.

First of all, congratulations on clearing JEE Mains and among these low ranked NITs, I would recommend Sikkim followed by Srinagar, Manipur, Nagaland and Meghalaya.

Apply for the CSAB counselling. Go ahead and then wait for the slots to appear. Else, you can take admission in some prestigious state government institution and excel.
