Nit colleges can be regarded as best choice but only some colleges offer pure sciences so refer to cut off ranks and decide which is better.you can also choose some universities which consider jee main rank

If you can get good branches in other colleges, in which there are good placements go for it. If there are no such branch which you can get, then drop a year and study with full attention.

ICE from NIT Jalandhar will be a better choice. As it deals with both instrumentation and control part and now controlling has greater influence
NIT may have the chill life, but, at the end of the day you get a job, a way of life, opportunity to work with some of the latest gizmos and also pride along serving your country. Good luck.

If you have crossed the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e. class 12th percentage criteria, then you can go for it. And, check your available possibility in NIT at josaa website, according to last year cutoffs. All the best.

There is total intake of 63 students in civil engineering in NIT-Durgapur, out of which, 32 seats are for students of West Bengal and 31 remaining are for other state students.
