Hello Anand,
For getting admission into any NITs, your JEE Mains marks are considered not your JEE Advanced score.
All the best.

National Institute of Technology, Silchar is considered by many to be the best NIT in the north-east. National Institute of Technology, Agartala is also ranked well in the north-east. Regards.

Dear student,
Choosing the branch doesn't depend upon the rank you will get. It's all about the interest you have in the particular field like CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, CE, etc. You must choose according to your interest from which you can achieve your aim.
On above mentioned rank, you will definitely get the government college like NIT even IIIT: https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor
I am providing you the link for college prediction
based on your rank. Don't come under pressure while choosing the branch. Just thought about the interest you have in particular field.
Best of luck

If you are qualified with big margin from the cut-off of your respective category, then only you will get the college. Every college has it's own opening and closing rank for individual branches and your rank should lie within it. You can use the Shiksha college predictor for getting the rough idea about the college you will get on your rank:

You might get NIT as per your rank. But you can try to get admission. You may get admission in any NIT in IP or IT branch.
