Since every college is having their entrance exams even the probate universities are having the entrance exams so there are very few colleges giving admission on the basis of class 12th board. Also, getting information regarding that is quite difficult so better prepare for any entrance exam.

Every state has only one NIT so in Maharashtra also we have only one NIT. A Diploma holder cannot get into NITs will give admission to those students who had completed their 12 with maths as a background subject.

For getting into top NITs, you should have a score of above 200 for getting into top most NIT for doing CSE. Hope this got cleared up. Good luck and read the NCERT text books. Solve problems to increase accuracy.

Actually, NITs doesn't offer a free seat if you score more than 220 so that you can get a seat at NIT-Andhra Pradesh but they will not offer you a free seat if you belong to economically back word open category then you will get a scholarship to study.
