If your JEE Main percentile score is between 70 and 80, your rank would be between 2,50,000 and 3,00,000. While this percentile may not be enough to get into the top NITs or IIITs, you can still apply to other famous government universities that accept this percentile range. Here's a list of universities for 70-80 percentile on JEE Main 2024:

  1. Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed University), AmbalaEstimated BTech course fee: INR 1.42 lakhs.
  2. SAGE University, Indore. The approximate BTech course fee is INR 60,000.
  3. Arya Group of Colleges, Jaipur. The approximate BTech course fee is INR 1.05 lakhs.

Many more.

With your SC category rank of 38,000 and CRL rank of 5 lakh, gaining admission to top NITs in Maharashtra may be difficult. However, there are some possibilities:

  • Lower NITs: Consider applying to lower-ranked NITs with more flexible cutoffs. These NITs may consider candidates from higher rankings.
  • Keep an eye on the category-specific cutoffs. NITs often assign seats based on category ranks, which could benefit you.
  • State Quota: Given your interest in Maharashtra, think about the state quota for NITs. Certain slots are designated for students from specific states.

No, you cannot take a correspondence course (also known as distance education) for a BTech degree at IITs or NITs  (or any other reputable institute in India) because the Supreme Court of India has ruled that BTech programs require extensive practical training, which is difficult to achieve effectively through pure distance learning. Therefore, accredited institutions offering B.Tech degrees must have a significant in-person component.

Alternatives to Consider:

  • B.Tech Distance Education from Accredited Universities: While IITs and NITs don't offer distance B.Tech, some universities do. Ensure the programme is accredit

Comparing the placement histories of different NITs can be subjective and dependent on a number of factors, including the demand from the industry, the state of the economy, the talents of the students, and the engineering or other fields that each NIT offers. Like other NITs, NIT Silchar has a solid placement history, with many of its graduates landing lucrative job offers from prestigious corporations. A thorough examination of current placement data, industry relationships, and the unique advantages of NIT Silchar's academic programs over those of other NITs would be necessary to determine whether the institution provides better pla

You stand a good probability of being admitted to many NITs and IIITs as an OBC NCL female candidate with a JEE Main percentile of 94.06. Your chances are greatly increased by your category and gender reservation. For other branches institutions like NIT Raipur NIT Silchar and a few IIITs are probably viable options. To increase your chances of being accepted into your desired institution and branch, you must actively participate in the JoSAA counselling process and carefully consider your options.
