Yes of course, it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. while many NITs are newly established and don't even has proper faculties and campus.

Hello Keerthi,
You need to have atleast 75% in boards for taking admission into any NIT, so firstly clear all your papers and then look forward to taking admission in any colleges.

Total 11 NITs provide MCA program. This year(2016) NIT, Trichy gave 100% placement for MCA people.NIT Warangal and NIT Surathkal also provide good placement. For getting admission in these NITs you should have good rank in NIMCET. In most cases, placement is depend on you only. Its depend on how you spend your three years of Masters. So its only depend on you. Generally, in all of the colleges, some teacher are good and some are better. So prepare yourself well and spend your time in programming sites like hacker-rank, hacker earth etc. or do whatever you want because you are the only person who is creator and destroyer of your life.

No, you must score at least 45% in PCM and also, you must pass 12th to take admission in any NIT. You can go through the eligibility criteria of NITs and IIITs for more clarification.

Yes, you can try for NIT's. Your category quota might fetch you a seat in one of the NIT's. NIT Hamirpur most probably because previous year's closing rank was highest for NIT Hamirpur.
