No, NITTE is a university, whereas the NMIT is the college under it. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology Bengaluru Karnataka has been approved by the AICTE and is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. Hence, one is a university and the other one is its college.

Nitte University conducts NUCAT or Nitte University Common Admission Test for admission to BTech, MTech, MBA ad MCA courses. The test is conducted for 120 minutes in online mode. Hence, aspirants do require passing entrance test for admission to these programmes.

Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) is extra affordable for B.Tech if you get admission via country quota.
The total fee is around INR 5-8 lakh.
NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology is less expensive and most effective for Karnataka students through KCET.
For others, it could cost INR 10–19 lakh.
