The 2024 placement session of PDEU (formerly known as PDPU) concluded with 90% of the BTech students placed. Over 175 companies participated in the recruitment process and more than 550 BTech students got offers. The highest package stood at INR 42 LPA and the PDPU average package offered was INR 7.50 LPA. A total of 2,400 seats are available for BTech at Pandit Deendayal Energy University. Computer Engineering with 300 seats offer maximum intake. For the purpose of admission, the seats shall be reserved for SC, ST and PwD categories.

Aspirants must pass Class 12 with minimum 45% aggregate (40% in case of SC / ST) in in theory and practical of Physics & Maths with Chemistry or Vocational Subject as per the guidelines of ACPC to apply for BTech at PDEU. Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required for BTech Biotechnology.

The university offers two merit scholarships for MBA students for the school of SoM, PDEU. The first scholarship is known as merit cum means scholarships and merit scholarships with 50% tuition fee waiver, respectively. For both of the scholarship, the eligibility is:
- Pass national-based exam, i.e., MAT/XAT/ MAT/GMAT/ MAT/ ATMA. The minimum percentile should be 85
- For Merit-cum-Means, the family income should not exceed INR 10 LPA
