Instead of pursuing BBA in Digital Marketing (Which I consider a big time sink, 3 years is a lot), you should consider pursuing a short-term online course in Digital Marketing. By short-term, I mean around 6–8 months, which is usually enough to build a strong foundation and practical understanding of the field. Regardless of your current knowledge level, starting from scratch is perfectly fine—especially since most reputed courses guide you step by step through SEO, social media, email marketing, content creation, and campaign management. The reason why it's better to go for a short term course for something like Digital Marketing

At IILM University, Gurugram, the BBA programme is carefully designed to maintain a balance between heavy theoretical subjects like Economics and more practical, application-oriented ones like Marketing. The curriculum is structured in a way that foundational courses in economics, accounting, and quantitative methods build strong analytical and conceptual skills, while practical subjects such as marketing, entrepreneurship, and business communication provide hands-on exposure through projects, case studies, and simulations. This mix ensures that students not only understand the theoretical underpinnings of business but also know how to

Not always necessary as BBA in Marketing Entrance exams depends on the college or university where you want to apply:

  • Top private and government universities in India like DU, NMIMS, Christ University, IP University, and Symbiosis, usually conduct their own entrance exams (like CUET UG, NPAT, SET, etc.).
  • while various state universities and private colleges also offer direct admission based on your 12th marks.

Thus If you are targeting reputed universities in India then you will likely need to clear entrance exams But if you are okay with general private colleges then you can get admission without one.
