The cutoff ranks for the B.Sc. program in Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology at Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore change each year based on the number of applicants, available seats and whether the candidates fall under categories such as open, sponsored or minority network.

Typically, the cutoff rank for the category is among the top 100 in the entrance exam. Sponsored candidates associated with Christian minority organizations usually face a slightly higher cutoff rank due to reservation policies.

No, a perfusionist is not a nurse.

A perfusionist is a specialised healthcare professional who is trained to operate the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other medical procedures. The primary responsibility of a perfusionist is to manage the patient's cardiopulmonary (heart and lung) function while the surgeon performs procedures on the heart or other organs.

On the other hand, a nurse is a healthcare professional who provides general patient care and support. Nurses may work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.
