The minimum eligibility for Bachelor of Optometry course in LCOO is 10+ 2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from recognized board. They must have obtained minimum 45% marks in qualifying examination.

I would say that you will get the opportunities of placement, if you pursue B.A. Journalism Honors from Christ University, Bangalore.
