Penn State University has authorized two scholarship funds which provide tuition grants to international students; Special International Grant-in-Aid (SIGIA) and the Penn State Tuition Assistance Grant (PSTAG). Note that these funds are administered through the Directorate of International Student and Scholar Advising (DISSA) for global programs. Generally, these grants range from USD 100 – USD 2,000.

• Grants are awarded on the basis of quality of academic work, severity of financial need, and the academic advisor’s endorsement. Students in their first year at Pennsylvania State University or those who are below standard GPA (minimum of 3.0 GPA for graduate students and 2.0 for undergraduate students) shall not be considered

Pennsylvania State University, University Park admissions requirements for international students vary as per the undergraduate and graduate courses. Given below are the admission requirements:

• Undergraduate Courses: The applicants applying to bachelor’s courses must have a secondary school record / high school or post-secondary institute record. Academic transcripts that have to be submitted at the time of offer of admission are CBSE / CISCE, and other examining boards for the year 10 and 12
• Graduate Courses: To study graduate courses of Penn State, the applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from regionally accredited US institution or Tertiary (post-secondary) degree which is deemed comparable to a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited US institute

Also, the applicants are required to meet English language proficiency requirement too. The accepted test scores for UG courses are IELTS / TOEFL / Duolingo. But, for PG courses, only IELTS / TOEFL scores are accepted.

Pennsylvania State University, University Park application fee for undergraduate students is USD 75 for international students. For graduate students, the following is the application fee:

• For degree programs and post-baccalaureate and graduate credit certificate programs (For Spring, Summer, or Fall 2024 admission): USD 65
• For degree programs and post-baccalaureate and graduate credit certificate programs (For Spring, Summer, or Fall 2025 admissions or later): USD 85
• Non-degree admission: USD 30
