For the academic year 2024-2025, undergraduate students at U.P. who are state residents pay $20,644 in tuition and fees, while students from out of state pay starts at $41,790. Food and lodging expenses are pegged at $14,474. This brings in the total yearly expenses to add up to $35,118 and $56,264 for in-state and out-of-state students, respectively. Add personal expenditure, books, and supplies to that, and it'll even add up more. Costs may, however, be varied in nature from one campus or programme to another.

Yes, international students are allowed to work part-time while studying at Penn State University. They can work on-campus for no more than 20 hours per week during the semester. Students may work on-campus full (more than 20 hours per week) during summer if they were registered for Spring or plan to be registered in Fall. Note that students can work full-time during the winter break only if they are enrolled for the Fall and will be enrolled for the upcoming Spring semester.
