Penn State University Park's Business Programs have been ranked #23 for UG by U.S. News. Moreover, the university's renowned Engineering Programs have been ranked #20 for UG and #31 for Graduates for the year 2025. The Computer Science Programs - National Universities ranking stood at #40 for UG out of 584 ranked programs, and the ranking for Science in Nursing Programs - National Universities stood at #54 out of 686 ranked programs.

Founded in 2003, the Indian Graduate Student Association at Penn State University is a student-run organisation that acts as a platform to integrate Indian graduate and post-doctoral scholars at this university. The main aim of this association is to create a platform for graduate students and research scholars to connect with each other and have a sense of belongingness in the foreign land. It also conducts many events. Furthermore, it collaborates with other communities and groups at the university, such as the Indian Culture and Language Club, Hindu Student Council, Penn State Vedic Society, Natya, etc.

When it comes to the Penn State University-University Park courses, for the Bachelors degree, some the top majors recorded to be General Finance, Information Science, General Psychology, General Computer & Information Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, General Marketing & Marketing Management, etc.

Students athletes who are involved in intercollegiate athletics, Penn State University has 29 NCAA Division I teams at the University Park. Additionally, this university has one of the nation's most comprehensive and successful athletic programs. Also, there are 50+ club sports of the university. There are intramural sports too at this university. Penn State offers more than 30 Intramural sports including Soccer, Football, Basketball, and Squash.
