Yes, admission to PG Diploma courses is based on Pearl Academy Entrance Exam that, includes GPT- General Proficiency Test and DAT- Design Aptitude Test. The entrance exam is followed by a personal interview round and portfolio presentation. GPT evaluates a candidate's proficiency in the English language, Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. Candidates need to appear for the CUET PG exam to get admission in some of the PG Diploma courses offered at Indian Institute of Mass Communication. These courses are: PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism (Bilingual- English & Hindi), PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations (Bilingual- English & Hindi), PG Diploma in English Journalism and PG Diploma in Digital Media. Those clearing the CUET PG exam are required to attend the counselling conducted by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

To be eligible for admission in PG Diploma courses in Madras University, aspirants shall have a valid UG Diploma/Bachelor or equivalent degree from UNOM or PG Diploma courses in Madras University, aspirant shall have a valid UG Diploma/Bachelor or equivalent degree from UNOM or from any other university recognised as equivalent thereto. Additionally, the candidate must have studied the relevant subject in the last qualifying examination as per the chosen specialisation. A minimum of 50% in the 10+2 level results is the basic requirement. It is necessary for students to have a Science background. If not MBBS, the applicant must have a related medical Science degree. A minimum of 55% is expected of the students in their undergraduate.
So you can do this course after BAMS.But every college has its own elligibility criteria.
A good NEET PG score would definitely help in getting to top college.
