No, the AMU entrance exam registrations for the PhD course are not open for the PhD admissions in 2026. The December session of UGC NET has also been concluded at this point. The deadline for PhD admissions at AMU is still unknown. Thus, candidates need to wait for the July session of UGC NET to open in April.

Yes, candidates should be able to get admissions into the PhD courses offered by AMU without any work experience. There is no mention of work experience being mandatory in the eligibility criteria for the AMU PhD admissions.

Thus, candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for AMU PhD course can apply directly after receiving their UGC NET or AMU entrance exam scorecard.

Indian students wondering “how to get 100% scholarship for PhD abroad”  need to plan their PhD a year ahead, it is suggested that they start planning for PhD abroad with a scholarship after completing 1 year into their master's programme (if enrolled in an Indian university). Research online for the best PhD project availability and start creating an application for the same.

If applying for different projects at different universities or under different professors, look for the project requirements and craft personalised applications for each to increase your chances of getting shortlisted. Take exams like GMAT, GRE, IEL

Of course, it is. But only when you're into R&D or teaching roles. Otherwise, there's no point in spending your time and effort on a PhD degree. You can get a well-paying job even with a master's degree.

A PhD degree is time-consuming, requires extensive research work, and has low stipend compared to international universities, so choose wisely.

I guess both fields have different career objectives. There's no comparison between these two. Engineering is all about technical areas, and the Social Sciences are inclined toward politics, social issues, human behaviour, etc.

First of all, a PhD is the highest-level of degree, and you need to go through the whole long process of educational degrees to pursue a PhD. So, it will depend on the subjects you choose at your 12th, UG, and PG levels.
