The entrance exam required for Ph.D admission at MIT School of Education and Research MIT-ADT University is either UGC NET or PET. For General category candidates, the qualifying marks for UGC NET are 40% aggregate in both papers. For PWD/SC/ST/OBC and Transgender candidates, it's 35% aggregate in both papers. The PET qualifying cut off marks are found to be 60 - 65 for General category and around 58 for OBC category. If the candidate get more than 40% Marks in the PET Exam then he or she will be considered qualified in the entrance exam. The minimum passing marks are required for admission too.

To get admitted to Ph.D. in Education course at MIT School of Education and Research, applicants must meet the entry requirements. Candidate must have completed a master's degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university to be eligible. A candidate who has completed an M.Phil in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised university is also eligible. The college also accepts valid score of the entrance exams like UGC - NET and PET.

The Fee for the PhD Program at MIT School of Education and Research is INR 1,50,000 per year. The college has not yet released the placement report for Ph.D program. If you wish to pursue PhD in Archeology then you should have completed a master's degree. Some colleges allow candidates from all academic backgrounds who have cleared the entrance exam. However, some colleges may allow only those candidates who have studies Archaeology. As per the lastest UGC guidelines, if you have completed a four-year bachelor's degree then you can pursue PhD in any field. You should clear UGC NET exam for that.

There is no age limit to pursue Ph.D. in any University. For Ph.D., there are two methods a candidate can follow.

  1. Clearing NET/JRF
  2. Entrance Test

Let us discuss both the options one by one in detail. In some Universities, the UGC NET qualified candidates are exempted from the obligation of an entrance test and they have to appear for the interview only. By virtue of their NET/JRF qualification, they get an exemption from entrance tests for M.Phil./Ph.D. courses in some Universities.
