After 12th, there are many course options available with good scope. You must choose the one which interests you the most as decision will frame your career.
With interest in pharmacy field, you can :
- apply in good pharma companies as a Medical Representative. You can apply for pharmacist post in hospitals.
- start working in government department.
- do research and development work.
- work in teaching field.
After registering with the state Pharmacy Council you may set up your own pharmacy or chemists and druggists shop to stock and sell medicines and dispense them according to doctor's prescription.

Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, to give you a brief idea,
- Pharmacists can earn attractive income in private and government hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and clinics etc.
- Pharmacist's initial income in government hospitals is around Rs.6,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- every month.
- Graduates working in clinics and in private hospitals can earn more than those of government hospital workers.
- Professionals who are engaged in private practice can earn good remuneration depending upon their popularity and skills.
- Professionals who are working in private sector pharmaceutical industries have a pay scale of Rs.12, 000/- to Rs.20, 000/- every month depending on factor such as qualification, experience and profile.
- Medical representatives earn a average of Rs.10, 000/- to Rs.15, 000/- every month.
