Generally, for Pharmacy, a government hcollege will typically be less expensive and will be better recognised (in general, for licensing and Public Sector jobs). They will often be very competitive to get in due to the number of seats.
Private colleges may have better infrastructure, more flexible admissions, or even collaborations with industries. If the college is well recognized, has selective placement, it could be equally as good as studying at a government college.

Yes, jadavpur university requires WBJEE marks for admission to B.Sc in pharmacy course. Here's the full criteria for applying there:
1) most of the pharmacy colleges in west bengal give admission to students by looking at pharmacy merit rank (PMR) but it is different in jadavpur university, it requires General Merit Rank (GMR) in which marks are combined from both paper 1 (math/biology) and paper 2 (physics+chemistry)
2) To be eligible for admission, you should be passed 10+2 exams with PCM or biology with 60% marks (45% for reserved categories).minimum 60% marks are required in mathematics separately (45% if reserved) and 30% mark

Yes, hostel charges are extra. Boys hostel costs about INR 70,000 to INR 74,000 per year. Girls AC hostel is INR 84,000 plus electricity charges. Budget hostels like Diwaliba Polytechnic cost INR 44,000 with free transport. Small refundable deposit is also needed in the admission procedure.

UKA TARSADIA BPHARM has decent placement record. The average package is about INR 4.75 LPA. Recruiters from top pharma companies like Torrent Pharma Dahej and Macleods Pharma come for hiring. the highest package in past years has gone up to INR 9.5 LPA too.

Yes, students are admitted on the basis of GUJCET entrance exam which is handled by ACPC Gujarat. Admission is given based on your Class 12 marks plus GUJCET score. Students must fill the ACPC form, upload docs and complete preference list to get the desired college.

A total of 100 seats for BPHARM at UKA TARSADIA is kept every year. Some seats may be reserved as per reservation policies of ACPC. About 15% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and 5% for PWD category. This helps students from different backgrounds get fair chance.

Out of total 100 seats, some seats are reserved to help students from economically and socially weaker backgrounds. Seats might be reserved according to the guidelines of ACPC, 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) students. 10% seats are given for students under Economically Weaker Section (EWS). 5% seats are reserved for PWD students to provide equal chance to everyone.
