Both are better but IIT, Bombay gives better placement than IIT, Kanpur. The infrastructure of IIT, Bombay is also better and it is listed in top 10 universities of India.

As per me it is possible but the condition is that you should be thorough in the concepts of geophysics and then you should go for M.Sc in geophysics.

Presidency college is definitely a good choice when it comes to study B.Sc. (Hons) in physics.
The following institutions across India are the best for perusing careers in physical sciences:
IISC, Bangalore (Admission through Boards, JEE, KVPY)
IISER (Same as above)
NISER (Admission through NEST)
St. Xavier, Calcutta & Presidency University. (Admission via Boards & Entrance, respectively)
University of Delhi (Board Marks Based)

To apply for B.PEd, you need to appear for the entrance test. You must have one of the following qualifications:
Must be a graduate in physical education with minimum 50% marks or graduate with physical education as a major subject and secured at least 50% marks or graduate with at least 50% marks, having represented State/ University in sports/games/athletics or graduate with minimum 50% marks, who represented in inter-collegiate sports/games tournaments or passed basic course in adventure sports/ or
Graduate and secured minimum 50% marks with 'C' certificate in NCC.

In Loyola College, Chennai, for 3 years duration of B.Sc. Physics course fees is 1.44 Lacs. Eligibility
Candidate must have passed 10+2 with the following subjects:
1. Mathematics 2. Physics 3. Chemistry 4. Any other
and if your academic performance is excellent then you don't need any entrance.
