Political science is one of the most adaptable social science degrees, with numerous employment options available to graduates. Political science studies assist students to develop vital abilities in writing, communication, and research.

A political science course teaches students about the inner workings of the government, both state and federal, as well as other agencies, and how to utilise this information for the benefit of the country. Most colleges, universities, and institutions require that applicants must have passed their 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 60% marks for undergraduate course.

You can opt for UPSC examinations for getting into IAS etc. You can opt for three years law course. Doing some management course is another option. If you are interested in academics then completing your Masters and doing some research work may be an option. This may help you in getting a job in colleges as lecturer.

Generally syllabus for Pass and Hons degree courses are generally similar. Hons degree courses are more rigorous and you will get to depth of subjects and your learning will be superior. Some universities allow special electives choice in Hons degree course. If you are targeting Civil Services examination after BA then Hons degree is a better choice in comparison to pass course. It will reduce your Civil Services examination preparation efforts.
