Law has much wider scope than Political Science. Many successful Politicians are actually law graduates.
After Pursuing law you can work in:
Law Firms
Independent lawyer after some years of experience
In Government departments like Human Rights commission, PSUs etc
You can prepare for Judicial Services
In my opinion you should opt for BA LLB where you can choose political Science as your BA subject.
Entrance Exams. - CLAT, SAT, BLAT, IPU CET, NLU D

According to the information available with me, it is around 45 percent marks. You need to score good marks in class 12th board exams to increase your chances of admission.

As far as your preference is concerned both courses are good and have good scope in their domain. However, if you are planning to prepare for civil services then better go for public administration. A few colleges offer BA in public administration and I know of UPES, Dehradun as one my friends is studying there. I mentioned civil services exams because the BA in public administration at UPES has a part of the curriculum dedicated to IAS coaching. You can better call and talk to the help centre at UPES and they'll help you understand this better.

Hi,
Political Science:
Political Science is the interdisciplinary study of government that incorporates political theories, economics, history and international relations. Many universities offer Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in this field. Bachelor of Science programs are intended for students who are interested in graduate studies and go on to Masters and doctoral programs in the field. Bachelor of Arts programs are intended for students who are interested in entering the workforce as entry-level employees or pursuing graduate degrees in related fields like education or business.

Hi Rakesh,
You must take GRE to be considered for admissions. A valid TOEFL score, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, etc. will also be required. Columbia is one of the top ten universities in US, so the admission process is going to be extremely competitive. Admissions will be basis your overall profile. The financial aid will also depend on your profile.
