It is very nice to see that you are interested in going to the education field. Normally speaking, the eligibility criteria for this entrance exam conducted by NCERT is 12th. Now many states have declared Diploma as equivalent to 12th. So please check with the institution from where you did Diploma and obtain this equivalence cert. Once you have this then you can appear for any exam where eligibility is 12th. Best wishes to you.

It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing graduation in engineering albeit via distance education mode. I am afraid this is now not possible. UGC has prohibited all universities from offering any professional courses via distance education mode. However, you can still think of doing AMIE that is equivalent to graduation in engineering for all practical purposes. Best wishes to you.

Eligibility : Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

Yes, you can take admission after dropping. You will have to go through the prospectus of the course provided by the college to know more about the admission procedure, fees, eligibility etc.
