The best way to learn any programming language is to practice and practice. Both C+ and Java are among the most popular languages and includes object-oriented programming.
The first question that arises is that which one of these to learn first. Both the languages are similar in many aspects like both include multiple inheritances, polymorphism, abstraction etc. But there is a difference in the way these features are implemented in both the languages. You can do the following:
Learn about mobile development either on Android or iOS. I recommend Android as users of Android are more than iOS especially in India and there is a need for some good Android developers in the industry. iOS is also good.
Learn about web development and you shall have some extra skills. They will teach you about web development in your degree but as I said they won't teach you everything. You'll learn a little about HTML, XHTML, PHP, Javascript, ASP. net and maybe more. You don't need to master every language just any one from PHP, Javascript or ASP. NET.
