Assembly Language is most important, but rudimentary basic language was developed to programme microprocessors. It made it's presence felt long back in 1949. Though, newer versions have been released, it remains widely used even today and as a result, opportunities for employment for trained professionals is never ending one.It is actually not one, but collection of different languages and one must study all of these to have high probability to get a job. For a Java developer, having a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming is a must.
Master the core APIs- It doesn't matter how strong you are in terms of theoretical knowledge if you don't know the language constructs and core APIs.
Keep coding- Things look simpler when talking about them theoretically. We can give a solution to a problem very easy in theory.
