At Chandigarh University, MSTs for Industrial Design are conducted in a very interactive format. Instead of traditional pen-and-paper tests, students often face assignments that require them to design solutions for real-life problems. This might include presenting a storyboard, preparing a digital rendering, or showcasing a physical prototype. Sometimes group projects are also included in MSTs, reflecting the collaborative nature of the design industry. There are two MSTs each semester, but the evaluation is spread across multiple parameters like creativity, presentation skills, and technical accuracy. Viva sessions are also part of th

First of all, let me clarify that Chandigarh University Fine Arts students are not subject to any particular, stringent attendance policies or regulations. I understand that attendance must be at least 75%. You will not be permitted to take exams even if you are an excellent student if you have poor attendance. Because they didn't take this seriously, I witnessed a few students struggle. Regular attendance at classes is therefore always preferable. It protects you from last-minute stress and keeps you up to date on assignments, studio sessions, and practical work—all of which are crucial for the fine arts. Because fine arts is more a
