IIFD Chandigarh provides over 10 courses (including specialisation) across multiple specialisations in a number of streams such as Arts, Design, Management, etc. Some popular courses include BSc, BDes, MA, MDes etc. at the UG and PG level. Apart from the UG and PG courses, the institute offers diploma, advance diploma, master's Diploma and specialised courses. All programmes are offred in full time and regular mode.

Admissions to PG programmes at IIFD Chandigarh are merit based for all PG programmes with the institute accepting UG scores for the same. The minimum eligibility requirement for this programme is passing UG with a minimum thershpold of aggregate score in the same domain as preferred PG programme.

At IIFD Chandigarh, UG programmes are offered with a minimum eligibility requirement of passing Class 12 in any stream form a recognised board of Education. Selection criteria is merit based for all programmes at IIFD Chandigarh with the institute accepting Class 12 scores for the same.

The GATE Exam 2026 fellowship at Chandigarh University is paid for a total of 8 months in a year. The payment is made during two academic phases: from August to November and from January to April. Fellowship is not disbursed during vacation or semester break periods. The GATE Exam 2026 scorecard is not required by Chandigarh University for applying for M.E. admission. If students want to be considered for the fellowship, they can apply based on their academic qualifications and thereafter submit their GATE information.
